First 2019 Weigh-In
So I went into the weigh in thinking for some reason that 2 days of eating better, going to the gym, and working out was going to show some 3-4 pound loss. It didn't, of course. I was the exact same as last week. 299 pounds. At first I was shocked, but then I started thinking about the positive decisions I've made over the last couple days and how I'm shifting my mindset. So what I didn't lose any weight yet. I've done yoga, I've lifted weights, I've stayed within my points, I've meditated. I've been drinking water. I have made healthy choices. The goal I've made for myself is to be a healthier me. I am doing that one step at a time.
I also want to make sure I'm not doing too much, or doing things that aren't really sustainable for me long term. The first thing that I've decided (on day three) that has to go is the miracle mornings. I can't envision waking up every day at 5 a.m. That just isn't for me, and that's okay. I'm going to keep a few things from the SAVERS practice though. I am going to meditate every morning, read my affirmation, and visualize. I would like to read the self improvement books, but I am going to switch that to a nightly thing (though I can't do that until I've finished The Power by Naomi Alderman for this month's book club).
I also want to keep up on the Scribe part of it by blogging my journey here, but I don't think that doing it in the morning is going to be feasible, so I will just do it during lunch or after work.
Something my WW leader said today really struck a chord with me. She said that this is my journey and I have to figure out what works for me along the way. It's a road to discovery. I really like that. I am excited to see the sights along the way.
