January 1, 2019 - A New Me
I woke up this morning having prepared myself over the last month to make different choices in the important areas of my life. I have taken my measurements, my before photos, planned my meals, and signed up for a new gym membership. I have set myself up for success in everyway I can think to. I think the most important thing for me though has been the shift in my mindset. I not only think it’s possible that I will reach my goals, I think it is definite. I know there will be setbacks, I know there will be times when I am not perfect, but I will get back up. I will not give up on myself. I will push myself toward the person I want to be. When I celebrate the start of my 33rd year of life, I will be celebrating a different self. Today is a re-birth of sorts for me. I am ready to make the hard choices, the right choices for my life and for my future.
Okay now that the self-talk is over :) here are my plans for today:
Once I complete my miracle morning (in about 30 minutes or so), I am going to eat a healthy breakfast and get ready, then Matt and I will be off to the gym. I am fully aware of how insane the gym is going to be, but that’s okay. I have planned to do 30 minutes of cardio, 30 minutes of weight training, 15 minutes of lap swimming, and 15 minutes in the hot tub. If I have to tweak the plan because of the crowds that is okay I just want to make sure I get at least 60 minutes of activity in while I am there. After the gym I’m going to spend the rest of the day playing cards with the family until about 8 p.m. when it’s time start heading to bed to prepare for tomorrow. I will be getting up bright and early at 5 a.m. so I can continue my miracle morning.
I am so happy that I have made these choices for my life and I cannot wait to see what this year will bring me because of them. I am absolutely ready to start living. I am ready for my size and physical abilities to no longer put limitations on the things I can do.
